Bonds and polyhedra

The Bonds & Polyhedra tab configures the drawing of bonds and coordination polyhedra when the crystal structure is displayed in three dimensions. The bonds and polyhedra defined here are used for display in structure viewers such as ReciPro.

Defining bonds

• Bonding Atoms — choose the two kinds of atoms to bond (the center atom and the vertex atom).
• Add / Replace / Delete — add the configured bond to the list, update the selected bond, or delete it.

Display options

• Show Bonds — shows the bonds between atoms.
• Show Polyhedron — shows the coordination polyhedra.
• Show Edges — shows the edges of the polyhedra.
• Show Vertex Atoms / Show Center Atom — shows the vertex atoms and the center atom of the polyhedra.
• Show Inner Bonds — shows the bonds inside the polyhedra.

Finer drawing settings such as polyhedron transparency can also be adjusted on this tab.
